How Heaven Operates
The governance of YHWH over creation reveals a profound and intricate structure where His will is carried out through heavenly and earthly agents. This divine agency demonstrates His authority, purpose, and order. Angels, prophets, and ultimately Yashua (Jesus) Himself act as representatives, ensuring that His Word is fulfilled.
This article explores how this divine agency functions, uniting the spiritual and physical realms to accomplish YHWH’s sovereign will.
The Agency of Angels

Angels, as YHWH’s messengers, play a critical role in executing His divine tasks. They embody His authority, carrying out His will with precision and obedience. In Exodus, YHWH introduces the concept of angelic guidance:
"Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for My name is in him." - Exodus 23:20-21
Here an angel acts as an extension of YHWH’s presence, demonstrating how divine authority is delegated. The angel’s role is not merely to guide but to guard and ensure the fulfillment of YHWH’s promises. Similarly, Isaiah highlights the redemptive role of the angel of YHWH’s presence:
"In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them." - Isaiah 63:9-10
This passage underscores the importance of obedience to divine agents. When Israel rebelled, they grieved YHWH’s Spirit, showing that disobedience to His agents is tantamount to defiance against Him.
Angels also play pivotal roles in initiating YHWH’s plans. For example, an angel appeared to Moses at Mount Sinai, marking the beginning of his divine calling:
"Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush." - Acts 7:30
This event reveals the importance of angelic intermediaries in delivering YHWH’s instructions. Similarly, in Genesis, angels were instrumental in executing YHWH’s judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah.

"Then YHWH rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from YHWH out of heaven." - Genesis 19:24
The angels who visited Lot facilitated this judgment, demonstrating their integral role in divine justice. Hebrews further emphasizes the ongoing service of angels to believers:
"Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?" - Hebrews 1:14
Angels also serve as intercessors and advocates before YHWH. In Zechariah, an angel intercedes on behalf of Israel, pleading for mercy and restoration:
"Then the angel of YHWH said, ‘O YHWH of hosts, how long will you have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these seventy years?’ And YHWH answered gracious and comforting words to the angel who talked with me." - Zechariah 1:12-13
This intercession highlights the role of angels as mediators who bring the concerns of humanity before YHWH and relay His responses.
Beyond their roles as messengers and intercessors, angels are also involved in the governance of creation. The Book of Enoch describes angels as overseeing natural phenomena such as the stars, winds, and seasons:
"And these are the names of the holy angels who watch. Uriel, one of the holy angels, who is over the world and over Tartarus. Raphael, one of the holy angels, who is over the spirits of men. Raguel, one of the holy angels, who takes vengeance on the world of the luminaries. Michael, one of the holy angels, set over the best part of mankind and over chaos." - 1 Enoch 20:1-8
This passage illustrates the hierarchical order of angels and their responsibilities in maintaining the divine order of creation.
However, not all angels remained faithful to their divine calling. Enoch 15:4-7 describes the rebellion of fallen angels who left their heavenly state and sinned with humans:
"Why have you left the high, holy, and eternal heaven, and lain with women and defiled yourselves with the daughters of men and taken wives for yourselves, and done as the children of earth do, and begotten giant sons? You were spiritual, holy, living an eternal life, but you defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and begot children with the blood of flesh, and lusted after the blood of men, and produced flesh and blood as they do who die and are destroyed."

This rebellion sealed on mount Hermon, is also referenced in Genesis 6:1-4, where the "sons of Elohim" (angels) married the daughters of men, leading to a corruption of the divine order and a separation between angels and humans:
"When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of Elohim saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then YHWH said, ‘My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.’ The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of Elohim came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown." - Genesis 6:1-4
These passages reveal that we are currently living in a world affected by this angelic rebellion. The consequences of this rebellion are become more evident today, as the separation between the spiritual and physical realms is lifting.
Its important to understand, that YHWH, the Creator and Sovereign of all, never abandons His throne or relinquishes His authority over creation.
Though the rebellion of fallen angels introduced chaos and separation into the world, YHWH’s divine order remains unshaken. From the heavens, He governs all things, and His will is actively carried out through His faithful angels, who serve as His agents in both the spiritual and physical realms.
Whether guiding and guarding His people, executing His judgments, or maintaining the balance of creation, every action is directed by His divine command. Even in the midst of rebellion and brokenness, YHWH’s purposes prevail, as His angels work tirelessly to fulfill His plans, ensuring that His sovereignty remains unchallenged and His glory is revealed. Through His divine agency,
The Role of Yashua in Divine Agency

Yashua (Jesus) is central to YHWH’s plan as His chosen agent, uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between the Creator and humanity. Unlike any other figure in Scripture, Yashua combines the roles of mediator, redeemer, and judge, all while remaining subordinate to the Father.
Yashua Himself emphasized His mission:
“I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” – John 6:38
Through His life, death, and resurrection, Yashua demonstrated perfect obedience to YHWH.
As the High Priest, He intercedes for humanity, offering salvation to those who follow Him:
“He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.” – Hebrews 5:9
Yashua’s authority is derived from YHWH, as He clearly stated:
“The head of Messiah is YHWH.” – 1 Corinthians 11:3
This divine order shows that while Yashua acts with YHWH’s full authority, He remains under the Father’s headship.
In the end times, Yashua will return as the executor of YHWH’s justice, leading the armies of heaven:
“He judges and makes war in righteousness.” – Revelation 19:11
Yashua’s role is not to replace YHWH but to perfectly represent Him, fulfilling the Father’s will and bringing redemption to the world.

Prophets as Human Agents of YHWH

Prophets play a vital role in YHWH’s agency by serving as His chosen vessels to communicate divine truth. Unlike angels who operate primarily in the spiritual realm, prophets function as human intermediaries, delivering YHWH’s words to His people and guiding them toward righteousness.
"YHWH your Elohim will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen—just as you desired of YHWH your Elohim at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of YHWH my Elohim or see this great fire any more, lest I die.’ And YHWH said to me, ‘They are right in what they have spoken. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him." - Deuteronomy 18:15-18
This prophecy about a prophet like Moses reveals YHWH’s intention to raise human agents who speak His words with authority. While this prophecy ultimately points to Yeshua, it also establishes the pattern for prophetic ministry throughout Scripture.
One striking example of a prophet’s divine commissioning is found in Ezekiel. YHWH calls Ezekiel to eat a scroll, symbolizing the internalization of His Word, and then sends him to speak His message to the people:
"And He said to me, ‘Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.’ So I opened my mouth, and He gave me this scroll to eat. And He said to me, ‘Son of man, feed your belly and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.’ Then I ate it, and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey. And He said to me, ‘Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.’" - Ezekiel 3:1-4
This powerful imagery demonstrates the prophet’s role as a vessel for YHWH’s Word. Ezekiel’s obedience in consuming the scroll and delivering its message exemplifies the prophet’s complete submission to YHWH’s will.
YHWH’s prophets are entrusted with delivering messages of hope, warning, and correction. For example, Jeremiah’s calling illustrates the divine equipping of prophets:
"But YHWH said to me, ‘Do not say, “I am only a youth”; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares YHWH.’" - Jeremiah 1:7-8
Prophets like Jeremiah and Isaiah serve not only as messengers but as living examples of faithfulness, calling YHWH’s people to repentance and obedience. Amos encapsulates this role succinctly:
"For YHWH Elohim does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets." - Amos 3:7
This underscores the importance of prophets as YHWH’s trusted agents in the physical realm, ensuring His will is communicated and His purposes fulfilled.
The Divine Order: God, Son, Man, Woman, Child

The agency of YHWH is not limited to prophets and angels; it extends to the very structure of creation and human relationships. YHWH has established a divine order that reflects His authority and purpose. This order is seen in the relationships between God, the Son (Messiah), man, woman, and child.
God as the Head of All:
YHWH is the ultimate authority, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is the source of all life and the foundation of divine order.
"But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Messiah, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Messiah is God." - 1 Corinthians 11:3
This verse establishes the hierarchy of authority, with YHWH at the top, followed by Yashua, man, and woman.
The Son as the Mediator:
Yashua, the Son of God, serves as the mediator between YHWH and humanity. He perfectly embodies obedience to the Father and fulfills YHWH’s redemptive plan.
"For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Messiah Yashua." - 1 Timothy 2:5
Man as the Head of the Household
In the divine order, man is called to lead his household with love, humility, and responsibility, reflecting the character of Yashua.
"For the husband is the head of the wife even as Messiah is the head of the church, His body, and is Himself its Savior." - Ephesians 5:23
Woman as a Partner and Helper:
Woman is created as a partner and helper to man, sharing in the responsibility of stewarding creation and raising children in the ways of YHWH.
"Then YHWH God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.’" - Genesis 2:18
Children as a Heritage:
Children are a blessing and a heritage from YHWH, called to honor and obey their parents as part of the divine order.
"Behold, children are a heritage from YHWH, the fruit of the womb a reward." - Psalm 127:3
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." - Ephesians 6:1
This divine order reflects YHWH’s wisdom and purpose, ensuring harmony and accountability within His creation. It also serves as a model for believers, reminding us of our roles and responsibilities in His kingdom.
Lessons for Believers

Understanding the structure of YHWH’s agency provides believers with a model for their own roles in His kingdom.
The examples of angels, prophets, and Yashua illustrate key principles of obedience, service, and representation. Believers are called to:
Submit to YHWH’s Authority: Recognize His Word as the foundation of life and truth.
Discern Their Role: Understand their calling as representatives of YHWH’s kingdom.
Walk in Obedience: Live according to the Torah and follow Yashua’s example.
YHWH’s agency reminds us that every action serves a greater purpose. Whether through heavenly messengers or faithful servants, His will is accomplished. Believers are invited to participate in this divine order, becoming agents of His love, justice, and truth.
"And YHWH said to Moses, 'See, I have made you like Elohim to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.'" - Exodus 7:1
As we reflect on YHWH’s agency, let us strive to fulfill our roles with faithfulness, humility, and zeal, ensuring that His will is done on earth as it is in heaven.
All praise to the Most High!
